Price of Love

Price of Love

2010

God has great love for us. His righteousness is great as well. He is holy, perfect.
It's because of His great love that He cannot let injustice/sin exist forever, cause our sin destroyes us. Jesus Christ, Son of God, had to take our darkness inside himself so we wouldn't have to die. It made Him die. But He rose from the dead; cause He never committed any sin Himself He was stronger then dead. Free of the destruction of sin. So He freed us from the slavery to sin (and eventually dead). This was the price Jesus had to pay for His love for us.
We only have to take this hand He is reaching to us, if we want to be saved, so He can change us from the inside.

Glory

The goldpaint stands for the glory of God.
Jesus' crucifixion was needed so we could take part of this glory.
A black cross as a remembrance of the darkness Jesus had to take on, so we could live in the light again.

Christmas

Christmas

God is humble and in reach. He (Jesus) made himself as small as a baby to approach humanity.
However he's bigger than the universe.

Peace

Peace

2009

Through the cross we can have peace with God and men. Our differances become a unity. When we put the cross central in our live all things fall into place. Part of a larger artwork made by many people: the Vredes Groeitapijt. It was exhibited on peacemanifestations.
